Angler catches world's biggest carp

CarpAngler Graham Slaughter shows off his record-breaking carp catch — the first in the world to weigh more than 40 kilos.

It took him 20 minutes to land the mirror carp, which tipped the scales at a whopping 40.188kg (6st 3lbs). Graham, 42, of Worksop, Notts, said: “To be first to break the elusive 40kg mark is a great feeling.”

Celebrating pals then dunked him in the lake in Bordeaux, France.
